Frequently Asked Questions
-
How does Montessori education differ from traditional schooling?
Montessori education places the child at the center of their learning by respecting their individual pace and needs. Children learn through experimentation and manipulation of concrete materials in a prepared environment. The educator accompanies and guides the child in their learning. The goal is to develop independence, self-confidence, and a love of learning.
-
How are independence and discipline developed on a daily basis?
Autonomy develops thanks to a carefully prepared environment, where children can choose their activities and carry them out on their own, at their own pace. Discipline is essential: children learn to concentrate, to respect the rules of the environment and others. Educators guide them with kindness and consistency, setting clear boundaries. Little by little, children gain confidence, responsibility, and self-control.

How is bilingualism implemented in practice?
At Montessori Happy Kids, bilingualism is a daily reality thanks to the presence of a French-speaking teacher and an English-speaking teacher in each classroom throughout the day. Children learn through natural immersion, using both languages in activities, exchanges, and classroom life.
-
How much time is allocated to free play and outdoor activities?
At Montessori Happy Kids, free play and outdoor activities are essential. Every day, children enjoy recess time in nature, promoting movement, imagination, and well-being. In addition, one morning a week is devoted to forest school, allowing children to learn, explore, and grow in direct contact with nature.

How will I be informed about my child's progress?
Communication is at the heart of our mission as teachers. You are kept informed of your child's progress through two individual meetings per year with the teachers who work with your child. Daily exchanges also allow you to follow their day, and the Klassly app provides you with regular updates on class activities and key moments.

How is the transition to public or private school going?
The transition to public or private school is very natural. We follow the educational objectives of the DIP, which guarantees a very solid academic foundation for your child. In addition, by following our 3-year curriculum, our students acquire all the academic and social skills necessary to continue their primary school education with confidence.
